]]> A second project in Burkina Faso for the Bagoudibou association… A loyal partner of Lagazel, Bagoudibou is active in Senegal but also in Burkina Faso, in the Ténado department, where a first school was equipped with a charging station in October 2021. This first operation having been a success, and having made a lot of noise in the neighboring localities, the association has decided to replicate it quite quickly. A new station with 40 LK3000 solar lamps has been deployed. The lamps, provided free of charge to children from the poorest families, are recharged regularly under the supervision of the director and a specially formed committee of students.

As a reminder, Lagazel has been in Burkina Faso since 2015 to carry out a solidarity project around access to light, job creation and local economic development. After opening its first workshop in Burkina Faso, Lagazel renewed the experience in Benin and Senegal and now has three production plants in Africa!

]]> H2O Sans Frontières takes action since 1998 in the region of Koudougou, in Burkina Faso, for water access and education in a cooperative approach. In January 2020, the association launched its first operation with collective charging stations and solar lamps. In collaboration with Emmaüs Région Sud, three schools of the town of Ramongo were equipped with stations and LK3000 lamps, for lighting and mobile phones charging. The lamps are lent for free to pupils, who are also involved with their class in a culturel exchanges programm with French pupils from the region of Clermont Ferrand. This kind of project was already replicated by H2O Sans Frontières with two additional schools in February 2020. By the beginning of 2021, a third operation will take place and collective charging stations will be installed within 15 schools !

Thanks to this project, carried by the French NGO Electriciens Sans Frontières and the Burkinabe association Aide & Action du Bazega, and funded by the SCAC French embassy in Burkina Faso, children can study at home, and learning conditions were improved.
