Grâce au travail d’Electriciens sans frontières, c’est cette fois un collège qui a bénéficié d’une station de charge collective Lagazel. A Lompoul sur Mer, dans la région côtière de Louga, Sénégal, 50 collégiens sélectionnés sur critères de réussite scolaire et d’absence d’accès à la lumière à la maison ont reçu une lampe solaire LK1500. Ils ont été désignés par leurs professeur et par le principal du collège, qui sont également en charge de la gestion et du suivi du matériel, offert gracieusement par l’association partenaire du projet. Installée et sécurisée par une société sénégalaise, PMD, basée à Thiès, la station est aujourd’hui utilisée quotidiennement par les collégiens, et tout semble se dérouler dans des conditions idéales : aucune défaillance n’a été repérée jusqu’à présent. Par la suite, certains bénévoles d’Electriciens sans frontière prévoient de se rendre sur place pour une visite de pérennisation, au cours de laquelle le développement du projet pourra éventuellement être envisagé.
Thanks to the work of the French NGO Electriciens sans frontières, a secondary school benefited from a collective charging station manufactured by Lagazel. In the town of Lompoul sur Mer, in the coastal region of Louga, Senegal, 50 pupils were chosen for their academic records and lack of energy access at home to receive a LK1500 solar lamp. The teachers and the school’s principal selected the beneficiaries, and are in charge of the follow-up of the equipment, which was offered by the NGO within the framework of its solidarity programs. Installed and secured by a Senegalese firm, PMD, based in the city of Thiès, the station is now used on a daily basis by the pupils. Everything seems to be running in ideal conditions, since no fault or technical difficulty has been noticed until today. Thereafter, some volunteer from Electriciens sans frontières plan to visit the school to deal with the sustainability of the project, and to think of eventual development actions.
