Au Bénin, dans les zones lacustres des communes de Tanguieta et de So Ava, un projet de stations de charge collective a vu le jour grâce à l’association Energie pour Tous avec son programme My Friend The Sun, et grâce à un financement de Synergie Solaire. Les 3 stations ont été installées au niveau de kiosques villageois, et confiées à des groupements de femmes qui gèrent la distribution des 180 lampes solaires aux familles. Ces dernières cotisent chaque mois 1 000 FCFA (environ 1,50€) : ainsi, une cagnotte est constituée par les groupements et permettra à la communauté de prendre en charge la maintenance, voire le renouvellement du matériel dans quelques années. Au sein de la population, les lampes permettent de répondre à des besoins forts en termes d’éclairage et de recharge des téléphones portables.
In Benin, in the lake areas of Tanguieta and So Ava, a project of collective charging stations was created thanks to the association Energie pour Tous with its program My Friend The Sun, and funded by Synergie Solaire. The 3 stations have been installed in village kiosks and entrusted to women’s groups who manage the distribution of the 180 solar lamps to families. Those beneficiaries contribute 1,000 FCFA (about 1.50€) each month: thus, a kitty is constituted by the groups and will allow the community to take charge of the maintenance, and even the renewal of the material in a few years. Within the population, the lamps allow to answer strong needs in terms of lighting and recharging of cell phones.
