Au Mali dans la région de Tombouctou, une station de charge collective a été installée en février 2020 dans un centre de santé communautaire, et 52 lampes rechargeables ont été offertes aux femmes ayant accouché au centre et habitant dans un rayon de 5 kms. Les femmes sont ainsi encouragées à se rendre au centre de santé pour bénéficier de soins adaptés. Les lampes permettent de profiter d’un éclairage de qualité et de charger les téléphones au sein du foyer familial. Ce projet s’est réalisé grâce à Santé Mali Rhône-Alpes, qui a décidé de renouveler l’opération quelques mois plus tard. Une quarantaine de lampes ainsi qu’une deuxième station ont été ajoutées au sein du centre, afin de s’adresser à un plus grand nombre de bénéficiaires. L’association envisage à présent de dupliquer ce projet dans d’autres centres de santé de la région !
In Mali, in the region of Timbuktu, a collective charging station was installed in February 2020 in a communal health center. 52 rechargeable lamps were offered to women who gave birth in this center and who live within a 5 km perimeter. Women are therefore encouraged to go to the center to benefit from adapted health care during and after their pregnancy. Also, lamps allow them to enjoy quality lighting and free phone charging at home. This project was executed by the French association Santé Mali Rhône-Alpes, who decided to repeat the operation a few months later. Around 40 lamps and a second charging station were installed within the center in order to impact more beneficiaries. The association is now considering a duplication of the project for other centers in the region !
